The Coney Island Polar Bear Club is the oldest winter swimming organization in the country and we are proud to be partnering with them for this event. The Aspiring Kindness Foundation formed a team of 13 brave individuals to participate in the polar plunge on Sunday, January 17th. Each team member will courageously plunge into freezing cold water that could be 23 Degrees or COLDER!
Please check out the Team Members page to see who’s joined our team and fundraising progress. The team is raising funds to make a donation to The South Orange Fire Department. The fire department was a first responder to the Seton Hall University fire and has continued to lead the community in fire protection and safety. They have many needs but our goal is to raise enough money to donate a Thermal Imaging Camera which costs $10,000. The camera helps firefighters quickly visualize areas they cannot see due to smoke conditions to create a plan of attack, locate hot spots, and identify where people need to be rescued. This is an indispensable tool for the South Orange Fire Department.
We are proud to say that 100% of every dollar donated will go towards our cause! Aspiring Kindness Foundation is a recognized 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization and every donation is tax deductible.
